Welcome to Mrs. Langefeld & Mrs.Moore's Kindergarten Pad!

"The world is filled with undiscovered wonders. Come
little one, let's find them out together."
Emilie Ahern

My name is Sandra Langefeld and I am delighted to be teaching at Oakley for almost 22 years now! I have taught Kindergarten for 12 years and had previously worked as a Title I assistant (Reading/K-5) for 9 years and classroom assistant for one year. I am a graduate of Berea College in Berea, Kentucky but I grew up outside a small town in Stuart, Virginia. I am married to my college sweetheart and have two very busy daughters. My oldest is a traveling Nurse in Iowa working on a pediatric floor and loving every minute of it.  My youngest girl graduated  from University of North Carolina of Asheville. Presently she is working with Iditarod racing dogs in Alaska and is hoping to work with the National Parks system in the future. The other addition to our household is our cat, Whisper! You could say he is the master around our house.
When I can find the time, I enjoy gardening (flowers & vegetables),cooking, scrapbooking, stamping, and hiking with my family.
I'm looking forward to another great year at Oakley with my precious young boys and girls! I am so blessed from day to day to have a chance to nurture and to teach these growing young minds! Lets jump right in!
